Sullivan 1500

SULLIVAN – Thoroughbred Race Horse

Print size 17″ X 22″, Image Size 11″ X 14″

This print has been in storage since 1967 and has slight discolorations around the print border which does not distract from the beauty of the print and would be easily covered up when matted and framed.

*Sullivan was a consistent performer in both Ireland and the United States, and has become one of the most respected sires in the West. He won his first start at two; and showed in his other three Irish starts, including the Leopardstown Produce Stakes, to earn 370 pounds before his importation to the US. In this country he took five of eight starts in good company; and showed in two other efforts, including the Will Rogers Stakes, to collect $23,650.
In his first three small crops he has been represented by such quick runners as Mr. Sullivan, victor in the Haggin and California Breeders’ Trial Stakes, and San Jose Handicap; Lucky G.L., captor of the Berkley Handicap; and Sully’s Trial, who took her first six starts, including the Junior Miss and Santa Ynez Stakes. *Sullivan stands at Merryman Farm, the Moreno, California breeding establishment of his owner, Mrs. Ann Peppers.
